UN, NATO and Foreign Medals
United Nations Korea Medal
This is an International Military Decoration which was established by the United Nations on the 12 December 1950. It was the first International Award ever created and recognised the multi-national defence force which participated in the Korean War.
The United Nations Service Medal is awarded to any military service member, of an allied force allied with South Korea, who participated in the defence of Korea from North Korean aggression, between the dates of the 27 June 1950 and the 27 July 1954.
This medal was issued automatically to those who received the UK Korea Medal.
Pingat Jasa Malaysia Medal
This medal is presented by the Government of Malaysia to British Veterans and others, who served in Operations in Malaya/Malaysia between September 1957 and August 1966. The medal is also awarded for those who served in Singapore only between September 1957 and July 1965

NATO Medal for the Former Yugoslavia
The NATO medal for the Former Yugoslavia was created in 1992 and awarded to any military member of a NATO Peacekeeping force who performed service in the former Yugoslavia, for at least thirty days.
For those performing support missions to Yugoslavia, such as European bases or ships in the Adriatic Sea, a total of ninety days of duty in direct support of Yugoslavia NATO missions is required for the NATO medal to be awarded.
Under the same conditions of service, some medals have also been awarded to NATO International civilians and civilian member nations attached to the military forces. A number of RFA’s saw service in this theatre.
