1945 Operation Judgement

Operation Judgement took place between 1st and 6th May 1945 and was the last Home Fleet operation against German Forces in World War 2

The Objects of this Operation were:

 

1.The destruction of U-boat depot ships at Kilbotn

2: To destroy shipping anchored of Sandnesjoen

The Forces taking part were: (C.S.1) HMS’s NORFOLK, DIADEM, SEARCHER, TRUMPETER, QUEEN, OPPORTNE, SCOURGE, ZAMBESI, SAVAGE, CARYSFORT, OBEDIENT, ORWELL 

 

Remarks: The U-boat Depot ship BLACKWATCH and 1 U-boat were sunk. One tanker was sunk. The German flak ship HAROLD HAARFAGRE was hit. Two British aircraft were lost.
