12 July 1917 the Captain of RFA Barkol was charged before a Court Martial firstly that he ‘Negligently or by default stranded His Majesty’s Royal Fleet Auxiliary ‘Barkol’ and secondly being drunk on board. The record doesn’t show if the stranding was caused by the Captain’s drunkenness. The charges were proved and he was ‘Dismissed his Ship’.

12 July 1919 RFA Vineleaf was sold out of RFA Service to the British Tanker Co.
12 July 1919 RFA War Sepoy – Fireman Thomas McGill deserted the ship. On 23 July 1919 he appeared before the Marine Magistrates’ Court, Hong Kong- he pleaded Guilty and was sentenced to four weeks hard labour and was fined two days pay.

12 July 1940 RFA C85 launched by W. J. Yarwood & Sons (1938) Ltd, Northwich as Yard Nr 648 for the Naval Stores Department
12 July 1962 RFA Tidesurge – Assistant Steward Norman Andrew Claxton logged as having deserted. He appeared at the Ninth Magistrates’ Court, Singapore the next day and pleaded guilty.
12 July 1969 RFA Birchol (2) was placed on the Disposal List along with her sisters RFA‘s OAKOL (2) and TEAKOL (2) and all three being advertised for sale in the Times of this date ‘as lying’ at HM Dockyard, Devonport
13 July 1944 RFA Olcades damaged whilst alongside and fuelling the carrier HMS VICTORIOUS
13 July 1954 RFA Wave Commander the ship was involved in a collision with the tanker British Unity in thick fog 30 miles east of Gibraltar. She suffered damage to her bow but made Gibraltar under escort of RFA Wave Duke.

14 July 1941 RFA War Pindari was dived bombed at Skaalefjord off Solmunde, Faroe Islands by a JU88 which dropped 4 HE bombs all the bombs missed but landed close to the port side of the ship. Guns of 285 Light AA Troop, Royal Artillery opened fire from the shore. The gunners claimed hits with smoke coming from the starboard engine with bits falling off. The ship suffered damage to her main condenser. Her hull had several ribs with many rivets strained and division damage in forward pump room.
14 July 1956 RFA Wave Premier while under charter to Shell and flying the red ensign eight crew members from Hong Kong jumped ship in New York. Ships agents who employed five security guards to prevent crew going ashore fined $8,000 for breach of US Immigration Act
15 July 1910 RFA Bayleaf (1) in collision with steam ship Duranbah in Sydney Cove. The Duranbah was alone damaged. The accident was the subject of proceedings in the Court of Marine Enquiry, Sydney, NSW on 24 November 1910 before His Honour Judge Backhouse with Assessors. The Duranbah was found totally to blame.
15 July 1936 RFA Bacchus (2) launched by Caledon Shipbuilding and Engineering Co Ltd, Dundee as Yard Nr 358
15 July 1941 RFA Blue Ranger arrived at the River Clyde from Scapa Flow. In collision with the Swedish vessel IRIS in the Firth of Clyde. IRIS sank and BLUE RANGER returned to Greenock with the survivors
15 July 1947 RFA Scotol transferred to the MoT for disposal
15 July 1952 RFA Amherst entered service
15 July 1960 RFA Wave Ruler (1) while berthed at Leith, Scotland all crew members other than Officers and PO’s walked ashore at 05:30 just before the ship was due to sail to Rosyth. The ship was shortly to deploy off Iceland in support of HM Ships on Fishery Protection duty.
