3 April 1917 torpedoed and damaged by German Submarine UC-22 in the Mediterranean which was driven off by accurate gunfire and she was towed to Malta for repairs.

September 1917 purchased by Anglo Saxon Petroleum Co Ltd, London, was renamed ARGONAUTA

18 April 1918 sailed Dakar in a convoy with six other vessels to Milford Haven. The convoy was escorted by HMS MACEDONIA

1918 returned to her owners, name unchanged

22 August 1919 arrived at Bombay from Sabine

17 July 1920 arrived at Suez from Singapore

2 August 1920 arrived at Portishead from Singapore

14 August 1920 sailed Liverpool for Beaumont

15 November 1920 arrived at Suez from Abadan

26 February 1923 berthed at Singapore

9 March 1923 in dry dock at Kings Dock, Kepple Harbour, Singapore

3 June 1927 in dry dock at Sheers Wharf, Panjong Pagar, Singapore

6 February 1926 berthed at Port Adelaide from Tarakan to discharge her cargo
