1914 requisitioned for Admiralty service, initially as a Collier – name unchanged

19 September 1914 at Portland while at anchor was struck by the British Steamer Orkla causing considerable damage to the DJERISSA

15 March 1915 communicated with HMS GLOUCESTER (visual) while on passage from Sierra Leone to St Vincent

31 March 1915 at La Rocas alongside HMS LIVERPOOL supplying bunker coal

9 February 1916 became a decoy ship and also operated as MALLINA, SOLAX and WOKING

28 April 1916 at Porto Grande a working party from HMS KING ALFRED collecting Naval Stores

12 May 1916 at Mordeira Bay alongside HMS KING ALFRED supplying 667 tons of bunker coal

25 and 16 May 1916 at Porton Grande alongside HMS KING ALFRED supplying 618 tons of bunker coal

15 November 1916 at Porto Grande alongside HMS KING ALFRED supplying 1,128 tons of bunker coal

1 December 1916 at Freetown a working party of 50 hands from HMS KING ALFRED onboard

16 May 1918 decoy ship service ended

1919 returned to her owners as DJERISSA
