21 February 1942 having dispersed from convoy ON65 in position 41°12N, 52°55W was hit by two torpedoes from the German submarine U-107 which caused a list to port. The ship stopped only for a short time to counter flood her tanks and then proceeded. Later the U-boat fired a stern torpedo that missed and was then forced to cease the attack because she had no torpedoes left and the submarines’s deck gun could not be used due to heavy seas 

23 February 1942 arrived at Halifax under her own power. Later sailed to New York for repairs

14 January 1943 sailed New York City in escorted convoy HX223 to Liverpool arriving 2 February 1943 with a cargo of AVGAS

12 April 1943 sailed sailed Belfast Lough in unescorted convoy BB281 arriving at Milford Haven the following day

3 November 1943 sailed Bari in unescorted convoy HA7 to Augusta

10 November 1943 sailed Bari in unescorted convoy HA8 to Augusta. RFA RELIANT also sailed in this convoy

6 December 1963 sailed Aden in escorted convoy AP55 arriving at Bandar Abbas on 14 December 1943

13 January 1944 sailed Aden in escorted convoy AP58 until dispersed on 20 January 1944

14 October 1944 sailed Augusta in unescorted convoy AH73 to Bari arriving on 16 October 1944
