21 May 1896 berthed at Dundee to load a cargo of jute
10 January 1897 when 30 nmiles off the River Tyne on passage to Grangemouth sighted the brigantine Pet of Wisbeach flying distress signals. The brigantine, with a crew of five, was in a sinking condition and was taken in tow to Shields arriving, with some difficulty, at approximately 2200hrs on 10 January.
26 October 1897 near Gothenburg in collision with the Swedish steamer Harold which was on passage from the Baltic to Shields. The steamer Harold put into port damaged and the Narova continued her passage with any damage unknown

13 January 1911 while berthed at Camperdown Dock, Dundee was found to have water entering the hold. The water was at a depth of five feet. The leak was found to have been through a number of rivetts on the ships port side coming loose. The cargo was discharged, repairs were put in place and the cargo reloaded.

13 July 1917 captured 150 miles W x N of Ushant by German submarine U-48 while on passage from Newport to Gibraltar with a cargo of coal and was sunk by bombs which were placed onboard by the Germans
2 November 1917 in a Nisi Prius Court sitting at Liverpool Assizes a trial was concluded before Mr Justice Shearman and a Special Jury to hear a claim resulting from the fire onboard the ship on 1 December 1916
