9 September 1915 re-deployed as a Collier Timber transport and an Expeditionary Force Transport carrying timber for the Office of Works until 22 October 1915

27 December 1915 struck a mine laid 6 days earlier by German submarine UC-3 (Erwin WaBner) and sank in the North Sea 3 miles SE ½ E from Shipwash Light Vessel off Harwich. There were no casualties
