15 December 1917 stopped and boarded by HMS SAPPHIRE a 3rd class cruiser – allowed to proceed
26 September 1919 arrived at Fremantle from an Indian port
28 January 1920 the Dundee Evening Telegraph reported that the Kajang which had grounded near Taganak, Borneo was badly damaged. The forehold was flooded and the ship was now lying at Sandakan discharging. The newspaper advised it readers that the ship would be beached for repairs
