9 April 1940 was on passage from Los Angeles to Yokohama when war broke out in Norway

29 April 1940 arrived at Yokohama

4 May 1940 sailed Yokohama independently to Singapore arriving 16 May 1940

17 May 1940 sailed Singapore independently to Palembang arriving the next day thence to Cape Town arriving 17 June 1940

24 June 1940 sailed Cape Town independently to Durban arriving 29 June 1940

28 January 1944 sailed New York in convoy HX277 to Liverpool arriving 13 February 1944. With two other tankers in this convoy served as an Escort Oiler

13 March 1944 sailed New York in convoy HX283 to the River Clyde arriving 28 March 1944. Carried 60 depth charges for issue to the convoy escorts. With four other tankers in this convoy served as an Escort Oiler

7 April 1944 sailed Liverpool in convoy ON231 to New York arriving 25 April 1944. With three other tankers in this convoy served as an Escort Oiler

26 November 1952 purchased by Monrovia Shipping Co Ltd (Economou & Co Ltd., London Managers) Monrovia and renamed Angy

8 March 1953 suffered an explosion and fire when 1,000 miles east of New York and 550 miles from Argentia, Newfoundland and broke in two with 9 men aboard the bow section and the remaining 28 others in the stern section

9 March 1953 the bow section sank with the loss of all aboard. A line was put aboard the stern section after all 28 survivors had been rescued by the American ship Seaborne in an attempt to tow it to New York

13 March 1953 the stern section finally sank
